NHFMA application for the 2006 USDA Farmers' Market Promotion Program Grant Program.

UNHCE in collaboration with the New Hampshire Farmers' Market Association submitted a proposal for a 2004 Sustainable Agriculture Research Education (SARE) Research and Education Grant to pilot test a market kiosk where Food Stamp EBT cards will be able to be used at three farmers' markets in New Hampshire. The SARE Grant was approved and is being implemented at the Manchester, Nashua, and Sanbornton markets. Enfield and Laconia have been added to the test.

The New Hampshire Farm to Restaurant Connection is working to link New Hampshire farm products with New Hampshire restaurants. The NHFRC is a collaboration of organizations and interested individuals, whose ranks are continually expanding. At the moment, participants include NH Dept. of Agriculture, Markets & Food, North Country Resource Conservation & Development Council, NH Lodging & Restaurant Association, Atlantic Culinary Academy, Canterbury Shaker Village, NH Stories, Inc., Slow Food, NH Farmers Market Association, farmers, nutritionists, chefs and distributors.
